Ahmed Anver's palette makes him distinctive

Ahmed Anver qualified from Central Institute of Arts and Crafts Karachi in 1980 and took a solo show to Jodhpur, India the same year. Then in 1983, 84 and 85 consecutively he held solo exhibitions at Punjab Art Council, Lahore, Multan Arts Council and India House, Karachi. From 1996 onward, he participated in international exhibitions.

After qualifying from CIAC, Karachi, Ahmed Anver took a Diploma in Textile Designer Sang Meeart Institute Singapur, 1985. He attended National Museum of Pakistan Karachi Artist Modeler 1977 to 1978 and Tawakkal Screen Printing and Textile designer 1970 to 1982.

Ahmed Anver’s reputation rests in his artistic presentations that have an extraordinary range of versatility that adds to his highly developed drawing talents and painterly competency.

Ahmed Anver’s palette makes him distinctive as he picks a wide range of colors, bright and dark to fill the geometrical presentations of Kufic inscriptions. He is no doubt has a firm grip on colors rendering. He has acquired mastery over his colors and shapes. Arches, domes and minarets on his canvas remind us grandeur of Islamic architecture. Kufic script keeps abreast of Islamic motifs fascinates the spectators.

Ahmed Anver is a lively and energetic artist. He is a member of Fine Art Committee, Arts Council of Pakistan since 1994, The Arts Council Karachi, Federation of International Tsa Mo Artists, Taiwan, Mallart Gallery London, Portrait Society of America Inc. Painting Competition at Arts Council Karachi

Pakistan Painting Competition will be held at Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi on 23 March, 2015. The competition will be hosted nder The Red Sapphire & its wing Activity Club. There are 6 competition categoreis from toddlers to Juniors to Dctators. Registration fee is Rs. 1000 per participant. This is an open competition and any one can participate. The theme is PAKISTAN. Participants will bring their own canvas and paints. The competition will run from 09:00 am to 07:00 pm. Contact: 0336-2384724.
